My name is Sally Watkeys. S'Dandi Shih Tzu is a small, home-based kennel. We live in Traverse City, Michigan which is a little like "paradise on earth."

Our furry kids are part of our life and home. We have owned Shih Tzu for 21 years and have shown them for 18 years. During that time we have finished 23 champions, all owner-handled, mostly from the bred-by classes.

And he can get those majors too!

We feel that our dogs are bred to be companions first and showdogs second. This means that each animal must have a wonderful temperment in a sound, healthy body.

We travel to the shows in our motor home which means all the dogs can go with us. My husband, Dick, drives the bus along with being wonderful kennel help and official "puppy socializer and dog hugger." He is my best friend and avid supporter.

This part of me is actually 2 people. My best friend and soul sister, Ann Bromley, became part of the "us" with a little bitch named Aerial. Ann is the "Ama" half, and I am the the "Dandi" half. It is a wonderful combination of kennels, both with the same values and ethics.

We have been able to accomplish dreams neither of us could have realized alone. When I am down, Ann is always there to help lift my spirits and remind me that dreams really do come true if we have the courage to pursue them.
